March 13th Lunar Eclipse

On March 14, 2:55 am EST / March 13, 2025, 11:55 pm PST, there is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 23 degrees Virgo that will kick off March’s eclipse season. It will be visible in North and South America, parts of Africa, the Pacific, and Europe. During this event, the Moon will appear red, often referred to as a "Blood Moon," as it passes through Earth's shadow.

What does it all mean? 

Are you feeling more intense? Perhaps your emotions are close to the surface? This transit has the potential to bring the energy of Crisis – Conflict – Change. The cosmic energy serves up the potential of deep emotional experiences that may be turbulent – or not.

Let's break it down... 

First of all, we have the sun in the last degrees of Pisces, along with the moon at its polarity, Virgo. In Human Design we are looking at the sun in gate 36 and the moon will be in gate 6 when the eclipse is at its apex. What that says to me is - we are in a week (or more) of clearing out what we have deciphered or siphoned out from last weeks individual process. Yes, it's more of that clearing out what no longer is serving our growth as individuals. Or is it? It is, if it is correct. We don't say that in the HD community simply for the joke of it all, though it is a bit of a joke. As many of us still will feel and go through a transformation or mutation, even with awareness. This highlights yet another layer of our choicelessness. More-so, what I like to try and focus on with all the choicelessness involved - is the children that are coming in. It's the what "the Program" is pumping out. Just like you and I were born to be unique, the program at play Now is ushering in children with these specific codes and mechanisms... it's not where we are going so much as where we are being taken (or Not). As well, it's what the children being born NOW will be programmed with. Fascinating stuff, really. Anyway, moving on.

Gate 36 is the Gate of Crisis, the darkening of the light. Any one who has this in their chart in one way or another has witnessed or gone through what some consider a dark night of the soul type of experience. Well, since we have had gate 36 in action within the Program for some time now, especially when we had Neptune in 36 the past few years, and now it's where the North Node has been and will be for quite some time, the whole world is being faced with this Darkening of the Light moment. And now, it's here where the sun is during this rare celestial event. Crisis, and the fear of inadequacy. Who will overcome their fears, and who will shrink from this otherwise crippling sense or lack of preparedness? Do you have healthy coping skills and habits in play? What do you do for yourself in times of feeling inadequate? 

The South Node has been in gate 6 - The gate of Conflict, ever since the NN moved into 36, as they are a polarity. This is actually a tribal gate, and connected to gate 59 in the sacral it creates the channel of mating. Without the 59 it can continue to seek out the 59 for the experience of breaking down barriers to achieve bonds, or not. This Gate 6 though, Conflict is friction. Friction is conflict. We need friction for growth, whether that be to create a child in the literal act of mating and procreation, or in creating the breeding ground internally or within the tribe for production and evolution. Friction supports defense, and what other than reproduction creates a strong defense? "Make more, produce more, so our bloodline can survive, so we have a strong defense." This can also create a lot of conflict. Conflict of interests, conflict in how to nurture the needs, conflict in openness to intimacy or not. Timing, all those things that go into play with making or creating bonds. With the south node here, and the moon highlighting these themes, we can possibly experience finally letting go of these fears, or conflicts for good. Some may not let go without experiencing this friction within their relationships first. Perhaps we can more consciously create healthier bonds, recognizing where we may shy away from potential conflicts perceived from the mind due to past pains in relating with others. Maybe we get to move forward with a little more compassion for ourselves and others... We shall see. We all have our own unique timing and trajectories, and yet with this awareness,, really, anything could happen. Stupid before, stupid after... I know. lol With open, compassionate communication I believe anythings possible.   

I mentioned above this Pisces/Virgo polarity, we can see how crisis and conflict permeate the air. Not only our tribal settings, but societal conversations are riddled with them, conflicts of opinions, conflicts in our bonds or a lack thereof. And the crisis that can come from that. From political debates to spiritual warfare, the story is as old as time, it seems, and yet we are living smack dab in the middle of a major global transition. If you followed me back in the early days of my career I shared that this is a spiritual battle for your mind, a battle of wits, of sorts. Humans as a species are going through a deeply, deeply mutative process. This is the time to break free and create a more self sustainable lifestyle. Tribes redefining what it means to be tribal, being led by individual mutation, inner authority, not this outer stimulation of puppet masters pumping fear into the masses to herd us like cattle to slaughter. Fuck that. This is a time for knowing where your authority lies, within, and following ones own conviction.

This mutation... we haven't had a mutation since the 1700's with the discovery of Uranus. And what's coming is far more individual that we have ever experienced in our lifetime. You have to see it. It's in the Program, and in seeing the program, you can see the game that is afoot. To see and to know the game. You have to know the game to win. You can't hate the players or you've already been defeated. It is in this seeing -how life is puppeteered-  not simply by social media and big Pharma, big tech, or mega mind billionaires, but this Program in the Sky. It's incredibly humbling and brilliant. The showcase of mastery in the sky that none of us can escape from... its death to the old ways of relating and creating a tribal defense. And what does the tribe need to defend itself from anyway? Extinction. Do you see it?? It is the question. Do you know how to listen to your inner authority? It is the only way.

When you see the program at play, it takes the air of mysticism out of the whole "agenda" somewhat, but the show itself is incredible. It's incredible! That conflict, it no longer has to have such a grip on your mind. It either is, or it isn't. And the darkness, well.. it doesn't seize to exist, but with eyes on its existence it can soften the blow of any given fears of inadequacy, lend us this strange perhaps even eery sense of comfort in the darker times. In Human Design we talk a lot about how this journey is an individual experience, and how melancholy is something quite familiar to those on this path... melancholy can easily turn into depression when the mind finds itself needing a reason to feel any given way, as well, depression will surely ensue when we fight what is or try to change the waves that come, instead of practicing this grace thats available when we truly just surrender to it... 

"The time is ripe for the perfect trigger or crisis to emerge and catapult you into something brand new. The Kabbalists call this the “Correction” that comes in to nudge you in the direction of growth and out of the status quo. So, conflict “out there” may lead to a period of examining the root of conflict “in here.” This could lead to an emotional crisis without the clarity and awareness about what action to take."

This is inexperience becoming experience and it may bring with it fear – or not.

The only thing that endures is change. You learn through constant change and continually move through cycles of high and low and back again. This rollercoaster ride can be very exciting or deeply overwhelming.

Consider that sometimes things come to head to give you the opportunity to notice how you deal with crisis, conflict or change. It’s an opportunity to witness how you move from inexperience to experience and evolve, grow, and become wiser. This movement gives you your frequency … and your frequency determines how you experience your humanity, your compassion, and your life.

The mind wants, the mind thinks and expects, creates recipes and ideas, opinions, blah blah blah... but the LIFE is in the flesh, and this body has its own unique needs. Life is what is right in front of us. The mind can become captured with this and that, poison the airways with all this fucking chatter, and pumping out problems to later deliver solutions you never needed in the first place. It's insanity. Or, are you truly paying attention? This transformation that is possible now... it’s one person at a time. I've said this since before I knew HD, awakening is an inside job. You can't can't can't (hello Jupiter in 35) awaken the masses and do it justice. It really is one 1 being at a time. And of course, now that Jupiter is making his presence known in this thread, 35 says "Progress can Not exist in a vacuum" either, so, we really are being blessed with an opportunity here. We need each other, the right others in our lives, to live out our crosses, to share our resources, to come together to create something new, sustainable, innovating the tribe and in better support of our unique individual needs. 

Growth is hard. Change sometimes really sucks. It can hurt, and it's tiring, agonizing, scary, we fear our own inadequacy, will we make the cut, are we good enough, etc etc... but it's not about whether we're good enough or not. It's really not. It's about whether or not we are listening to our own unique inner wisdom, and is it correct for us to make a change? To have this experience? 

No one is going to judge you as harshly as you will yourself. No ones opinion fucking matters, is you love yourself. No one can "believe" you into, or out of - anything - if it isn't correct for you. You get to be the Guru now, you get to be the authority, no one else. It's not even about value. It's about seeing yourself and loving yourself as you are. That's IT! Sorry there isn't a snazzy prize at the other side. No take home party gift bag... but you get this deep, deep presence within yourself and from seeing how funny people are and life is when you wake up to the whole shitshow as complete and utter nonsense! Hopefully you laugh at that, but it’s ok if you cry, too. It's a fucking mess. 

Moving on, what else does this lunar eclipse offer us at this time? Well - according to astrology dot com, "This eclipse is important because it officially ushers in the Pisces/Virgo eclipse themes that will play out throughout the year. Both Pisces and Virgo are signs that are connected to service and sacrifice, but they do it in different ways. Pisces, as mutable water, with a symbol of two fish swimming in opposite directions, is as fluid as a zodiac archetype can be. Pisces is ruled by the lucky planet Jupiter in traditional astrology, and the planet of illusions Neptune, in modern astrology. Pisces energy is creative, compassionate, but sometimes escapist and self-sacrificing. Virgo, as a mutable earth sign, with the symbol The Virgin, is the archetype of an adaptable builder. Virgo is ruled by the communication planet, Mercury, and its energy is meticulous, analytical, but sometimes overly critical. With the Virgo full moon eclipse happening during Pisces season (full moons are always in the sign opposite the sign the sun is in at the time), this eclipse will require the balancing of both the Pisces and Virgo energy, but with an eclipse twist." 

As I see it, we can look forward to finding our inner balance with these energies. I have personally been experiencing these push/pull dynamics much of my life, as pisces is my design moon, and virgo is my personality rising. How I see this is a need for balancing how much I give and take, how much time I spend on myself versus time on projects, in service, on my physical health as well as in social settings. This has also manifested as a need for balance in boundaries and in finding practical solutions versus being overly delusional, or avoidant in matters of family, friendships, work, love interests, you name it. It's a work in progress, this balancing act I must juggle. If we look at it through the lens of Libra, which happens to be my discipline and my law, we see that if one scale is even remotely more or less it tips the scales off. So it's important we not only know where the proverbial lines are for us uniquely, but in knowing how to identify these unique boundaries we each intrinsically have been given via our time of birth. It's been somewhat of a life journey for me, you could say. Finding and identifying these boundaries. I've found myself, multiple times, bumping into the boundaries. And let me tell you, sometimes bumping into others boundaries, or my own before they've been identified -has created quite a lot conflict and crisis. 

How do we begin to know? Where do we find what works best fro each of us individually? By experimenting, a lot. And a human design bodygraph analysis can really help along the path of experimentation. This is a very validating tool for adults, but truly it's the most supportive in teaching our children to have a greater chance of success for survival. We begin by recognizing who we are, and who we are not. And this is for some a life’s journey, I mean it has been for me, for sure. With Pluto in Aquarius the boundaries will only become more and more blurred. Now is no better time than ever to really get clear in whom we are, and whom we are not.
